Typing Games for 6th Graders
Two of our best 6th grade keyboarding games are Cube Typing and Nitro Type Pro.
Cube Typing is a pretty interesting game that lets the gamer make the choice on which row the game should be about, home rows, bottom or top rows. The game involves colorful cubes fused with different words and letters that the gamer is expected to type. Once the gamer types the words successfully the cube disappears. The game aims to help the learner revise their basic keyboarding skills.
Nitro Type Pro is a race-themed game where the gamer races with other gamers online. The gamer inserts their name then picks the car of their choice and the race commences. The racers are provided with a sentence to type and depending on their speed the speed of the car increases or decreases. The trick in the game is to type as accurately as possible because any wrongly typed word makes the car lag behind.
These easy typing games for 11 year olds incorporate the challenge and complexity required in this level. The visual excitement and the competition in these games will challenge the learners to push themselves to beat those high scores. Through providing the accuracy and speed calculation at the end of the game the gamers will be pushed to better their typing proficiency through regular practice or in this case gaming.
Plus, we tackle important topics like digital citizenship and online safety so students can learn how to navigate the online world responsibly.
